The Skoda Octavia is a car that I've always somehow sympathetic. Above all, of course, as Octavia WRC, the Matthias Kahle balanced both in the German Rally Series and in the World Rally Championship by several switchbacks. In between the Skoda Octavia was on my new car purchase shortlist, cavorted on to illustrious competition, among others, BMW. I later decided that the BMW, is a different story. Now Skoda has introduced the next generation Octavia and I imagine once again the question of whether an Octavia (then as Combi RS) not actually would be a useful reinforcement of our family fleet.
