Mazda will produce a car for Toyota

Mazda will open in 2015, its first plant in Mexico, which is intended to produce the next generation of the popular Mazda3 and Mazda2 subcompact.

However, we just learned that this plant will also produce a version for Toyota, the next Mazda2.

Cars for the North American markets: United States, Canada and Mexico.

History repeats itself

It's a bit of history repeating itself, except that changes secondary actor. The current Mazda2, which served as the basis for development of the Ford Fiesta, will become the platform used to design a new model of subcompact Toyota.

For the first year, the new production plant in Mexico, should be around 50,000 copies, while its capacity is announced at 140,000 units.
