Former Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica will return to the track for the first time since an accident put his career on the ice, there are nearly two years.
Mercedes said Kubica was test driving one of its cars running on the track German DTM touring car. These tests will be performed Thursday on the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Valencia, Spain.
Kubica added that it is too much to speculate on a possible comeback for him.
The Poles had partially severed right hand and fractured his elbow, shoulder and leg in an accident during the Ronde di Andorra rally, February 6, 2011.
Kubica has played 76 Grand Prix F1 for BMW and Renault, winning a race, the Canadian Grand Prix in 2008.
