China : car sales exploded 19.5% - Car sales have accelerated during the first two months of the year in China, rising 19.5 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Automakers have sold 2.8 million cars in January-February.
Total sales, including trucks and buses, have advanced 14.7 percent to 3.4 million vehicles.
In 2012, car sales rose 7.1 percent while total vehicle sales are improving by 4.3 percent.
Automakers around the world rely on China, which is the largest market in the world, to support their sales in a context of widespread weakness elsewhere.
