Introduced in September 2008, sold in the USA in September 2010 and a year later in Europe, the Chevrolet Volt Mk1, the electric car GM will make way for the second generation to be unveiled in a few months at the Detroit show in 2015. the Volt Mk2 will be marketed in the USA with the 2016 vintage.
While the current model has a small breakthrough in the American market (eg 65,187 delivered in 4 years while Chevrolet expected a minimum of 45,000 annual deliveries) and that sales seem to settle for 7 months against the Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet launches teaser announcing the Volt Mk2.
As for the new engine range extender, know that this will be the all-new 1.0 L Ecotec block L3 SIDI happens in our European markets under the hood of Adam Opel and Corsa 2015.
Stay tuned in the coming months because, although the Volt is not coming to Europe, it will exist well in 2016 in a European version badged Opel.
