The development of a spiritual successor to the Audi Quattro coupe iconic.
Marc Lichte, head of brand design, confirmed at the Los Angeles Auto Show to work in the car is still ongoing in an interview with AutoCar. Audi first showed a sketch concept car at the Paris Motor Show 2010, followed by the concept Quattro Sport (pictured), during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
The production version will be vaguely influenced by these two concept cars, but much more aggressive looking as production, Lichte said.
It is not clear that Audi plans to use to feed your next tribute to past performance, considering the first concept used a 2.5-liter turbo five-cylinder engine that makes 408 hp, while the version that followed had a 4.0 V8 coupled to one ltier hybrid system with a total output of 700 hp system. The second concept is also particularly heavy with a gross weight of about 4000 pounds. Nevertheless, it can reach 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
