2018 BMW M5 Finally Unveiled

Three months ago, BMW showed us a photo gallery of the newly redesigned BMW M5 2018. On the other hand, the car sported a camouflage, and it was difficult to see the aesthetic distinctions of the high performance sedan that will once again compete the Mercedes-AMG E 63, Audi S6 and Cadillac CTS-V.

The German manufacturer has just released a massive collection of photos of the car, although this time the body of the M5 is fully discovered.

For the first time, the M5 is equipped with an integral gear train. The new M XDrive uses a transfer case and multi-disc clutch to distribute power between the front and rear axles and favors the rear wheels for a more sporty ride. However, it will offer five different settings to satisfy the driver's preferences, whether to allow a little slippage at the rear or to completely disengage the nose gear for a propulsion configuration.

The 4.4-liter V8 biturbo has been revised to increase its horsepower to 600 horsepower, while its maximum torque is 553 pounds-feet, available between 1,800 to 5,600 rpm. It will now be operated by an eight-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted selectors. BMW advanced a 0-100 km / h of 3.4 seconds, a 0-200 km / h of 11.1 and a maximum speed of 305 km / h when the car is equipped with the driver's set M.
