2018 BMW X2 SUV Coupe

The new BMW X2, a fresh and stylish SUV coupe, is intended to inspire a young group of buyers. In March 2018, the sporty crossover then comes on the market. 

With the new BMW X2, a chic SUV coupe, the Munich want to appeal to young buyers, in particular, the X1 and the larger BMW SUV are either too big or too expensive. The aim is above all to convince with a dynamic look: Square-looking wheel arches, a double kidney in the reverse trapezoidal shape and the flat window graphics are intended to act as an eye-catcher and distinguish the new vehicle from the longer and higher X1.

Also new are the two model variants "M Sport X" and "M Sport", which should score points with their sports suspension included as standard in the package, the 19-inch wheels and the new option color Misano Blue Metallic. But even the basic model is already well equipped with 17-inch wheels and LED daytime running lights. If you want up to 21-inch rims and full-LED headlamps, you also have to dig deeper into your pocket with the BMW X2.

For the market launch in March 2018, there is initially a gasoline engine and two diesel, with the power range of 190 hp (xDrive20d) over 192 hp (xDrive20i) up to 231 hp (xDrive25d) should be enough. Four weeks after the market launch, the basic models X2 18d and X2 18i will follow. Further engines are announced for 2018. For the diesel units, there is always four-wheel drive and an eight-speed Steptronic transmission. The gasoline engines are connected to a sporty 7-speed Steptronic transmission with double clutch.

The X2 interior features fabric-alcantara covers with contrasting stitching as standard, as well as the iDrive system with an 8.8-inch display. For a surcharge, a full-color head-up display, various online services and, among other things, a traffic jam and parking assistant are available. The trunk volume is 470 liters indicated.
