Aston Martin DB5 James Bond - Last month, at the Detroit International Motor Show , I had the pleasure of being photographed with the single 1964 Aston Martin DB5 used by Sean Connery in Goldfinger and Thunderball movies. Most recently, Daniel Craig took over the wheel of the famous car in the excellent film Skyfall.
New for sale
The beautiful car that had been sold in 2006 to nearly U.S. $ 5 million has been put up for sale.
Its owner, Thomas Straumann, asked a British retailer of the brand Aston Martin to handle the sale of this car unique.
We also learn that Mr. Straumann had restored his beautiful Aston Martin to its main gadgets, innovative for its time, to be operational again:
- Rear bulletproof shield;
- Tear tires installed in the rear hubs;
- Guns;
- Spreader oil and thistles;
- Exhaust smoke spreader;
- Drawer cover arms
- Radar, GPS ancestor;
- Telephone concealed in the door.
Only the passenger seat ejection and the retractable roof panel were not renewed.
Adding all these safety devices has increased the car 400 kg, the chassis of the car had to be strengthened.
