The case was in the air since a few weeks since Fiat wished for a few months . It just confirms what day since GM sold its shares up 50 % stake in the Italian company Fiat SpA mechanical .
The amount of the transaction between the two carmakers amounted to 47.1 million (34.1 million Euros ) and it allows the Turin group to fully integrate the engine company within its structure. Remains to be seen whether VM Motori will remain a separate entity or whether it will integrate Fiat Power Train?
General Motors took a 50% share of the diesel specialist VM Motori in 2007 and Fiat had bought the remaining 50% of the company in 2010 . Unfortunately for GM , projects and studies currently serving the Italian group and its U.S. subsidiary since including the 3.0 L V6 found under the hoods of the CRD , Ghibli , Quattroporte , Thema , Gd Cherokee or RAM 1500 pending further assignments the group .
