It is little surprise for Chevrolet at New York Auto Show . The manufacturer Detroit comes on the east coast with the Cruze sedan facelift to keep its compact sedan to face competition and particularly against the U.S. Spec Focus revamped Ford unveiled it a few days ago .
The facelift of the Cruze 2015 refreshes the appearance of the American sedan and allows him to play in the courtyard of the Focus but the Jetta and Japanese or Korean number present in this segment of the U.S. automotive market.
Cruze takes a front journal with a new shield which has a more contemporary design and offers new locations for the fog lights. Those are now integrated in a chrome boomerang which also hosts the daytime leds ( on LT and LTZ ) . The new grille is inspired by that of the great Malibu and Impala . Chevrolet explains this development by the need to have a visual consistency across its range.
The back part does not change except for the lights that seem high versions receive leds. Cruze U.S. Spec also gets new alloy wheels and new exterior colors
In the cockpit little change except new cupholders designed to make it easier to insert or remove cups or cans, a trunk transferred to the center console and a control central locking moved the center console to the front doors. The 2015 Cruze will also benefit from new colors for upholstery in fabric or leather.
The sedan is also evolving at its connectivity with the latest infotainment system. The Cruze has a new 7-inch TFT screen and additional USB ports. OnStar 4G LTE hotspot with Wifi. The Bluetooth phone users can enjoy sound alerts and messages of their digital reading. New applications for iPhone iOS 6 and iOS 7 will also be available as well as access to the service Chevrolet AppShop .
No mechanical novelty announced by Chevy, but the manufacturer still puts forth his high Cruze Eco diesel version of 151 hp recalling that the Cruze Eco is more efficient than the VW Jetta TDI 140 and autonomy allows it to travel over 1150 km with a full tank.
