At the Geneva Motor Show 2015 BMW also shows the facelift of the 1 Series. This consists of a slightly sharpened design and new engines.
So BMW designed the kidney of the new compact. In addition, the BMW designers enlarged the front air intakes and designed the headlights a little flatter, which now come standard with LED daytime running lights.
Completely new tail lamps were designed: they no longer look like the VW Polo, but are designed to last for BMW models typical "L" shape.
The premium ambience of the interior of the new BMW 1 Series is particularly emphasized by the refined design of the upper center console with controls for radio and climate control.
The standard equipment of the new BMW 1 Series now includes automatic climate control, a rain sensor, the Radio BMW Professional and the iDrive control system including a high-resolution 6.5-inch display, which is integrated as a freestanding on-board monitor in the instrument panel.
Alternative to the standard six-speed manual transmission is available as an option unique in the premium compact segment 8-speed Steptronic transmission (standard in the BMW 125d, the BMW 120d xDrive and BMW M135i xDrive) are available. The current version of the automatic now offers a navigation data based transmission control.
The BMW M135i 2015 is even more: he drives future with at least 5 kW more power before and now offers a total of 240 kW / 326 hp.
