To pre-order starting tomorrow (10 May 2016) the Italians have finally announced prices for the new midsize sedan Alfa Romeo Giulia. The preliminary base model will then cost at least 34,100 euros. But not for long, since already from the middle of June, a new entry-level version for 33,100 euros follow.
Starting tomorrow, the Alfa Romeo Gulia, the successor to the Italian car legend from the 1960s and 1970s, finally ordered. First, there will be at the start of three trim levels: the base version Giulia, Giulia Super and the top version Giulia Quadrifoglio. The equipment line Super is designed specifically for corporate customers and self-employed. There is a leather-fabric combination for the seats, window frames with decorative strip in chrome look, 17-inch alloy wheels and infotainment system with seven-inch large screen and rear parking sensors. The basic equipment includes in addition to the security features - among other things, there is a collision warning system with emergency brake and pedestrian detection, an integrated braking system, a lane departure warning and cruise control - the 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, various driving modes and a radio infotainment system with 6.5 inch touch-screen. In the top version of the driver gets additionally sports seats upholstered in leather-Alcantara mix and the Quadrifoglio sports steering wheel with red engine start button.
The base engine is only once from a 2.2-liter diesel with 150 hp, which will be to have to start from 34,100 euros. From mid-June then a 136-hp version of this engine comes on the market, and this will reduce the base price of 33,100 euros. The 2.2-liter turbo is also available even with 180 hp. The range is supplemented by the time being only gasoline in the program, the twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 with 510 hp, which will remain the top version reserved. Prices here start at 71,800 euros. The diesel can be optionally combined with a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic. The 510-hp Bolide gets the six-speed manual transmission.
