Ferrari will do, Porsche also - as well as all powerful sports car manufacturers today put on respiratory support through the Turbo. Only the Audi R8 Spyder is something like the last Mohican and now comes the teat with open roof therefore. In this version it sprints thanks to the 5.2-liter V10 with 540 hp to a whopping 318 km / h. No trace of the locking gimmicks of the competition. Pure performance and free breathing.
The engine has not done much for the time being, but the engineers have been able to save on fuel consumption. The V10 with 5.2 liters displacement, 540 hp and a maximum torque of 540 Nm also sits on the convertible shortly before the rear axle. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds. After 12 seconds, the 200-horsepower drops and he catapults the sportsman up to 318 km / h. The consumption of the new model was reduced by 12 per cent to now 11.7 liters. Thanks to its design as a mid-engine and the resulting almost perfect weight distribution, the Audi follows the steering movements as pulled along the cord.
For the powerful convertible with the 112-liter small trunk volume you have to lie down 13,000 euros more than for the coupé and so the price list for the open air fun starts now at 179,000 euros. If you would like to let the rough tube bite an even more angry bark, you can have a flap control for the exhaust system installed for 1,900 euros.
