The 5th generation of SUV Honda CR-V can be ordered for the first time with the hybrid drive i-MMD and as a seven-seater. The European version of the compact SUV celebrates its premiere at the Geneva Motor Show 2018 (08 to 18 March).
Even in the 5th generation, the new Honda CR-V remains true to the broad outline: dynamic and elegant exterior design, the optically neat muscles are given by wider, more powerful wheel arches. Bonnet and rear are generally now sharply contoured.

For more environmentally friendly propulsion, the Japanese also rely on the hybrid drive i-MMD, which manages without a conventional transmission and instead will have a single, fixed ratio. Thus, according to the Japanese, a direct connection is made between the moving components, which allows a smooth transmission of torque within the system. In the variant, the SUV has an electric drive motor, a 2.0-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder gasoline engine with Atkinson cycle and direct drive and a separate generator.

In addition, customers in this country can also choose a 1.5-liter VTEC TURBO petrol engine, which will be available with either a manual six-speed or continuously variable CVT transmission. Both drive variants can be ordered both front-wheel and 4-wheel drive. The market launch is planned for autumn 2018. The prices have not yet been expressed.
