Plug-in hybrid for Volvo V90 and Volvo S90

The two greats, Volvo S90 and Volvo V90, are now available as a T8 Twin Engine AWD with a plug-in hybrid. This should bring more power and less consumption, but at the same time, the prices were also pushed up.

Both the Volvo V90 and the Volvo S90 are now available as an environmentally friendly plug-in hybrid. The T8 Twin Engine AWD Swede with all-wheel drive brings it through its combination of petrol engines on the front axle and electric motor on the rear axle to a system output of 407 hp. The 2.0-liter turbobenziner delivers 320 hp and receives support from the 87 hp strong electric motor, which is designed to provide powerful power and exceptional driving dynamics. This means that the combined standard consumption (according to NEDC) is to be just 2.0 liters per 100 kilometers, which corresponds to a CO2 emission of 46 g / km. Both models should of course be able to cover the usual 50 kilometers purely electrically.

The equipment list includes 18-inch light-alloy rims, digital instruments and a gear selection lever made of crystal glass. In addition, a timer-controlled heating system is standard on board. The business sedan Volvo S90 in the environmentally friendly version starts at 69.240 euros. For the Kombi V90, at least € 72,800 has to be flown. This corresponds to an extra charge compared to the previous top models S90 and V90 T6 of a good 11,000 euros.
