If the GT-R is a central concern of supercar lovers, the Fairlady Z is one of the topics that animate discussions amateur model and those fans sports coupe.
In terms of the latest information available on the subject, we have almost confirmed that the future sports coupe-like change of name while keeping the Z in its name. It speaks more regularly Nissan Z35 successor to the current 370Z in 2016.
While the current model as its predecessors are destined mainly to the Japanese and American markets, the next generation will obviously designed for worldwide use. The arrival of the Nissan Z35 will also most likely mark the return of the Targa format or more precisely T-Bar Roof as the ZX 280 and 300 which would allow the Japanese manufacturer to offer three variants of his term cut (Coupe, T-Bar, Roadster).
Z35 coupe future should be offered with a couple 4 and 6 cylinder engines. The 4-cylinder version will be powered by a 2.0 L L4 engine turbo we know well at Mercedes Benz and a bit in the new Infiniti Q50 2.0 L Turbo. This is the 1991 cm3 turbocharged L4 we found under the hoods of Class A, CLA, GLA and Class B, which is known as the M274. On the Z35 engine 2.0 L 214 hp fort will be associated with an electric motor which will make this a little Fairlady Z penalizing hybrid car for CO2 mix of the brand.
Highest range, the Z35 coupe spell the end of the great V6 3.7 L VQ37VHR. This engine will be replaced by a 6-cylinder engine turbo born in Germany at partner Mercedes Benz. This will probably be the new 3.0 L V6 turbocharged direct injection into a strong version of at least 408 hp. Multiple sites or forums talking again a hybrid version that would remind us that the new Mercedes Benz S 500 Plug-in Hybrid ... wait a bit but it's in the order of things possible.
Of course Nissan Z35 coupe will be available in Manual Transmission either Automatic Transmission depending on engine and markets. The car should appear late next year at the Tokyo Motor Show as a concept car before arriving in the second half 2016 in different markets.
