The prototype premiere of the Honda CR-V Hybrid will be presented at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt (12-24 September 2017). The first Honda vehicle with hybrid drive is shown on the European market and at the same time an outlook on the design of the European version of the SUV.
The new Honda CR-V Hybrid, which will celebrate its prototype premiere at the IAA, is also noticeably sharper, broader, longer and longer than its predecessor. Even if the front of the vehicle is still the current Honda design, including the typical front headlight design, the hood and rear section are now sharper contoured.
The hybrid system comes without a conventional gearbox and instead has a single fixed drive stage, which creates a direct connection between moving components, thus enabling a smooth torque transmission within the system. It is not only the CR-V with hybrid drive, but also with the already known 1,5-liter turbo petrol, which is optionally connected to a manual 6-speed or a continuously variable CVT transmission. The diesel is no longer planned for the new SUV, whose official launch in Europe is scheduled for 2018.
