The German brand will add another utility vehicle to their lineup early next year. After presenting the BMW X2 Concept at the Paris Motor Show in September 2016, the production version of the sporty SUV sub-compact has just been revealed.
Only one version of the X2 will be sold in Canada, at least for now. It will be equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. An M Sport X package combines elements from the manufacturer's M and X ranges, while adding steering ratio selectors, an M Sport suspension and 19- or 20-inch wheels.
The 2018 BMW X2 will be offered with a choice of body colors, including Milano Blue Metallic, Twilight Orange Metallic, and Galvanized Gold Metallic. Inside, Sensatec seat upholstery is standard, while leather is also available. There is also a choice of finishes between glossy black, aluminum and oak woodgrain, and a panoramic roof can be added. The 6th generation of the iDrive multimedia system is standard, paired with either a 6.5-inch display or an 8.8-inch touch screen.
The price has not been announced yet, but the BMW X2 2018 will go on sale next March.
