New Datsun GO: True revival or Micra low cost?

New Datsun GO - The case took place this morning in New Delhi, India, Nissan unveiled its new low cost old brand and its first model for over 30 years, the Datsun GB Carlos Ghosn was the game and said: "This is a day history for Nissan Motor to our customers and partners in a market that is growing the fastest. It is also an exciting time for many men and women here in India are now a little closer to realizing their dream of owning a car. I came to India today to start a new chapter rt I am pleased to announce that Datsun is back! ". 

If this new Datsun Go tell you something, this is quite normal since it was developed on the platform of the current Micra. Go this is meant to be a cheap car, but a step up the Tata Nano which is in basic prices, nearly a third of the rate of this new Datsun but is still struggling to convince!

Go ahead with this is a fairly classic and simple design from the Nissan Motor's Global Design Center in Japan. Indian engineers have developed and perfected all the other elements of the car that will be produced at the Renault-Nissan Oragadam plant in Chennai.

Length: 3.785 m,
width: 1.635 m
Height: 1485 m
Wheelbase: 2.450 m (the same as the Micra)

1.2 L petrol engine associated with BVM5

Its pretty long wheelbase helps to have a decent living space for five (or even six) passengers, however, shall keep a little tight especially at the front with the famous bench seats that offer mini-site troubleshooting if necessary.

This Datsun will be produced in India with local suppliers and should be sold at basic prices around 400,000 rupees ie around € 5100-5200. She will arrive in the Indian market at the end of the first half of 2014 and will go to Indonesia, Russia and South Africa.
