The telephone company is continuing its internal self- sharing policy and extends the offer for its employees. As the company continues rejuvenation and "cleaning" its fleet as part of a program to reduce CO2 emissions by around 20% by 2020 . Orange and many initiatives in the field of sustainable development, including automotive .
For the record , know that Orange fleet consists of 35 000 vehicles run only 23,000 in France. As such it appears in the first line of the ecological project operator because it is the cause of 5% of the total energy consumption of the group and nearly 15% of total CO2 emissions of the business . As part of this green project , Orange has launched an extensive program of training in eco -driving for a year and this operation is the cornerstone of environmentally correct building towards users of company cars . We learn that some 31,000 company drivers will be trained in eco-driving by 2017.
Also in the framework of its internal self- sharing and to add to Twizy , 208 and DS3 , Toyota has taken delivery of a fleet of 17 Toyota Yaris 100h (Hybrid) in Business finish. The bulk of the Toyota Yaris Hybrid will join the region Provences Alpes Cote d'Azur.
These Yaris will be made available course for business trips but also for private travel either in the evening or the weekend but in these cases a small fee is required for users . As with other car-sharing systems, Orange employees can know where a car is parked and book via their smartphones, tablets or computers .
This service will test until the summer of 2014, and if the experiment is successful , Orange plans to service the whole territory about 1,500 cars in 2016 , including 25 to 30% of cars will hybrid or electric .
Also note that the company has signed an agreement with Autolib ' and is intended to facilitate access to services Autolib' for Orange employees including business travel between sites or shops located in region Paris . It seems that subscriptions will be given upon request of employees. The partnership with Autolib ' also provides a discount for private journeys of Orange some services they are employed !
