In the small SUV sector, the company has not had much to offer so far - this is now to change with the new Jeep Compass. Starting in July 2017, the small crossover will be the "opening edition" with a two-horsepower turbodiesel engine with 140 hp, a Neungang automatic transmission and the automatic four-wheel drive. What else you need to know, you will find in our news.
In the summer of 2017, the Jeep Compass starts its foray in the fields of Opel Mokka, Seat Ateca or the soon to appear VW T-Roc. Just like its little brother, the Renegade, the new SUV is also based on skeletons and assemblies on the Fiat 500 L. The three equipment variants Unlimited, Limited and Trailhawk will be launched in combination with two petrol and three diesel engines.
In the assistance systems, a distance control, a tracking assistant, an emergency brake assistant as well as a parking assistant, who parks the car at the push of a button, are on board. You can navigate through the 8.4-inch touchscreen, browse through numerous apps, mirror the smartphone (both iOS and Android) and control almost all vehicle functions.
The first special model so-called "opening edition" will be available for market launch. It is equipped with 18-inch wheels, LED taillights and chrome trim on the side windows. In addition to the standard 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 140 hp, the more powerful version with 170 hp can be ordered as an option. The prices for the special model then start at 35,900 euros.
