2017 Volvo XC60 T8 Polestar : 14 HP more for the Plug-in Hybrid

Now the top version of the large premium SUV will soon be available as a Polestar version. In the case of the Volvo XC60 T8 Polestar there are 14 HP more for the plug-in hybrid, so that after the power cure 421 horsepower.

Probably from late summer 2017 gets the plug-in hybrid Volvo XC60 T8 Polestar equal 14 HP more. This makes the SUV 421 hp and a whopping 680 Nm (+ 40 Nm). The basis is based on the 2 liter with 4 cylinder petrol engines and an E-engine with 407 hp. With the engine, the basic version costs at least 69,000 euros. If you want to benefit from the 14-horsepower performance, you have to put 1,200 euros more on the table. Thanks to the power injection, the 2.2 tonne accelerates in 5.2 seconds (-0.1 seconds) and reaches a top speed of 230 km / h.

This was made possible by an engine control upgrade from Polestar. In addition to a noticeably better passage, this should also bring a longer hold of the gears in turns, which should mean a brighter acceleration out of the corners. Nothing will change the performance increase however on the fuel consumption, which is also to be still at 2.1 liters on 100 kilometers. Even with the Polestar model, it is still possible to drive up to 45 kilometers by means of an electric machine and a larger traction battery.
