At this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, the hybrid sports car Lexus LC500h recently celebrated its debut. On the count's hill in Sussex, the festival guests could also get an impression of the new MSHS drive in action at the so-called "Hill Climb".
The new drive concept is intended to provide a series of dynamic advantages over previously known current-combiner combinations, such as an improved performance development. In addition, the electric racer is to sprint in less than five seconds from the stand to 100 km / h.
The engineers were able to achieve a reduction in the center of gravity of the vehicle thanks to the varied use of carbon and aluminum parts on the body. All measures result in a combined fuel consumption of 6.4 liters per 100 km, which is to be significantly lower than the fuel consumption in the conventional V8.
