South Korean manufacturer enjoys the Los Angeles Auto Show to unveil an evolution of its Veloster Turbo becomes an opportunity for Turbo R Spec .
This variant adds nothing to the mechanical level compared to the Turbo "normal" because it is the same block 1.6 L Turbo GDI delivering 201 hp and 265 Nm that propels the two versions.
The R -Spec version of a team TVC system (Torque Vectoring Control) which, thanks to electronics, plays a similar role to that of a limited slip differential . It allows us to offer better stability in fast curve and greater agility in turns to cut a little lacking liveliness in his behavior.
This coupe receives a strengthened suspension, recalibrated steering, a short manual six report concludes with a new lever short speed B & M Racing Sport.
Aesthetically this coupe is also distinguished by a touch of red on the low side skirts and front bumper. The aluminum 18-inch wheels are identical to those of the normal Turbo.
The interior receives , besides the famous lever sport at B & M Racing , specific seats with a combination upholstery leatherette on the sides and red cloth / black in the center of the seat and backrest . We also note the presence of some logos " R -Spec " here and there to remind us that we are in a sports car.
The Veloster Turbo R -Spec is available in four colors : White Elite, Marathon Blue , Gray Sprint , Ultra Black
Hyundai announced that it will cut production in the month of December and the first deliveries will take place in the month of February 2014 in North America. Nothing yet for the arrival or not this version of our European markets .
