The third generation of the Honda Insight is already in the starting blocks. At the Detroit Motor Show, there will be the first time to see the prototype of the hybrid compact sedan and in 2018, the production model will be launched. The third offshoot of the Insight family presents itself in the classic limousine look and joins in between Civic and Accord.

The i-MMD hybrid system, which will also be used in the Accord Hybrid and in the upcoming CR-V Hybrid for Europe, is working under the sheet metal dress. Which driving values ​​and which setup can be expected is not yet revealed. The developers, however, speak of a competitive level of performance. In the US plant in Greensburg / Indiana, where also the Civic and the CR-V for the US market from tape, the new hybrid model is to be manufactured.
